The EVERYbody Project is situated in a universal prevention framework and it aims to decrease body image concerns and reduce eating disorder risk in vulnerable individuals. Another goal is to further body liberation through critical group conversation – a commitment to challenging the systems of oppression that dictate how certain bodies are deemed more worthy based on identity-driven appearance characteristics (e.g., body size, skin color, hair texture) and narrow definitions of health and attractiveness.
